Join Us for Two Exciting Events This Weekend!

WISDOM’s impactful presence in our community shines through our diverse array of projects and events, each designed to foster connection, education, and positive change.

On May 4th, we invite you to join us for not just one, but two exciting events — one in Boston and one in Flagstaff! Whether you’re passionate about eco-friendly rat control in Jamaica Plain or eager to enjoy a day of mini-golf highlighting animal welfare at Flagstaff Mall, there’s something for everyone.

Fore! The Animals

In Flagstaff, we’re proud to sponsor an event from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Flagstaff Mall. Partnering with Sinagua Middle School’s wood shop led by Ms. Amy Dries and NAU, we’re bringing you a unique nine-hole mini-golf course highlighting animals endangered by rodenticide. Each hole offers educational insights, and we’ll have tables for further displays. Plus, meet adoptable dogs from High Country Humane and cats from Ark Cat Sanctuary.

Many thanks to Best Friends Animal Society for their sponsorship, and to Amy Dries and her woodworking class at Sinagua Middle School for building our 9 mini golf holes!

Managing Rats in the Garden

Meanwhile, on the East Coast, our NE Rep, Alaina, will lead a discussion on ecologically-friendly rat control at Brookside Community Garden in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood. Discover sustainable techniques to coexist with rats in gardens, including rat fencing and eco-friendly control methods. For more details on the Jamaica Plain project, click here.

Both events are free and open to all. Let’s come together for a day of learning, community, and fun! See you there! 🌟🌍
